Twenty years of hosting solo performers and storytellers on the last Tuesday of (almost) every month! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our 20th Anniversary Celebration not only included a night of live storytelling, we celebrated in the cabaret, with dessert and drinks. Family, friends, past performers, and diehard fans came out to be part of the fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to all of our audience members over the years, whether you were able to join us for our 20th anniversary or not. Can you orchestrate how your children will behave and how they will treat one another? My mother\u2019s answer was an emphatic YES, I can!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Charlie Varon, <em>Charlie Varon\u2019s Comic Bonbons<\/em><\/strong><br>Help comedy heal our nation! Or at least give us a few laughs as we go down the tubes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About the Performers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eleanor Clement Glass<\/strong> delights children throughout the San Francisco Bay Area with folktales from around the world. She is a member of the Volunteer Storyteller Corps and a School Tour Docent at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. Eleanor also performs wonderful family stories from her Black and Filipina cultures. She serves on the Stagebridge Board and is proud to be a Stagebridge Storyteller and student of the performing arts classes that offers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tony Cyprien:<\/strong> Grew up in Watts. Raised in Los Angeles County Juvenile Hall, County Camps, California Youth Authority, and California prisons. Freedom at age 47 years, 10 months, and 16 days. Landed in Berkeley with best friend (wife) and improv, then launched.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SF Chronicle has credited <strong>Charlie Varon<\/strong> with \u201credefining the medium\u201d of solo performance. Charlie\u2019s award-winning shows\u2014all created in collaboration with David Ford\u2014include <em>Rush Limbaugh in Night School, The People\u2019s Violin, Rabbi Sam,<\/em> and <em>Second Time Around<\/em>. Charlie&#8217;s next solo performance class begins July 1, and he&#8217;ll be performing a full evening of bonbons on July 11 in SF. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.charlievaron.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.charlievaron.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Casey Armstrong<\/strong> is a hybrid cross between Kendrick Lamar and Tiny Tim, bringing his socially conscious songs and raps to venues throughout the Bay Area, including La Pe\u00f1a and The Fireside Lounge. Casey is a familiar face at the Wednesday Night Cabaret with the Craig and McGregor Band as sometimes performer and most times door man.&nbsp;<br><br><strong>Doug McKechnie <\/strong>has been an active participant in the Bay Area&#8217;s creative community for over four decades. A pioneer in live performance with the Moog synthesizer, McKechnie began creating scores for film, television and theater, creating soundtracks in 1974 with partner John A. Lewis. Also in the 1980s he created the San Francisco Synthesizer Ensemble creating the Golden Gate Bridge Anniversary Suite in 1987 for the bridge&#8217;s 50th Anniversary.
